Continuing Students in the University's Traditional Program

Returning students should refer to the Financial Aid Checklist.

1. Complete the . Lakeland's priority date to file the FAFSA is February 1. Lakeland's school code is 003854.
2. Complete the (priority date is Feb. 1).
   You will be required to login with your my.lakeland username and password to gain access to the application. Log in to your my.lakeland.edu page, click on the Quick Link (along the left side) of Financial Aid Student Access-Net Partner, then click on the menu tab labeled Apply Online.
3. Promptly submit any additional documentation/information as requested.

FAFSA Information for All Students

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at your earliest convenience at .

1. 51乱伦鈥檚 school code is 003854.
2. You and a parent should create an FSA UserID if you do not yet have one. You will be prompted to do so at the site.
3. You will be asked to include your federal income tax data (if applicable).Be sure you and your parent(s) sign your FAFSA. Tip: use this chart to determine which parent to include on your FAFSA.
4. You must consent to have your federal tax information imported to the FAFSA using Direct Data Exchange (DDX).
   
5. Verification: If your FAFSA is selected for verification by the Department of Education, you will be asked to provide additional documentation. You will find the required documents on your NetPartner page through .
6. Print a copy of your completed FAFSA for your records.
7. After the Department of Education receives and processes your FAFSA, you will receive a FAFSA Submission Summary. This is a record of your FAFSA, please review it for accuracy. The FAFSA Submission Summary will show your SAI, which is calculated by the information that you provided on your FAFSA. The SAI is determined by the Department of Education, and is what determines your eligibility for need-based financial aid.

If you have special or unusual circumstances which could affect your ability to contribute to college expenses, you may qualify for a re-evaluation of financial aid eligibility. Examples of these circumstances include, but are not limited to the following: death in family, separation/divorce, involuntary loss of a job, retirement of wage earner and medical expenses paid and not covered by insurance. The request for consideration of special circumstances form is available on the financial aid forms tab.

Note: If you do not want to complete the FAFSA, you may still be awarded a 51乱伦 academic scholarship. Please contact the financial aid office.
