Top leaders part of unique new Lakeland online course

51ÂÒÂ× has assembled an impressive lineup of some of Wisconsin’s top executives to detail how they are leading their organizations through the COVID-19 pandemic in a new online course entitled Leading through a Pandemic: Perspectives of Wisconsin Executives.

Each week of this seven-week course students will interact virtually with well-known leaders including:

  • Green Bay Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy,
  • Kohler Co. President and CEO David Kohler,
  • Jacob Leinenkugal Brewing Company President Dick Leinenkugal,
  • Milwaukee Brewers President-Business Operations Rick Schlesinger and others.

Students will research and present on how their employers have adapted to the pandemic and create a pandemic preparation plan in anticipation of a future business disruption.

The course can be taken three ways:

  • As a professional development seminar through Develop U, which is run by Launch: 51ÂÒÂ× Student-Run Businesses.
  • As a three-credit course as part of Lakeland’s master of business administration or master of science in leadership and organizational development degree programs.
  • As a three-credit elective for undergraduate students and a way to get a jumpstart on a graduate degree.
